Hamworthy designs and manufactures a wide array of products and systems for the global marine, offshore and onshore markets, and the company’s well-qualified service personnel provide around-the-clock support and service worldwide.

Hamworthy Gas Systems (HGS) has five business units: Offshore, Onshore, Marine LPG, Marine LNG and After Market. The company specializes in engineering and turnkey supply of complete LPG cargo handling systems for gas carriers and LNG reliquefaction and LNG regasification plants for gas carriers, SRVs and F(P)SOs. A new product line is LNG fuel systems for ships. For Offshore, HGS specializes in engineering and turnkey supply of LPG and LNG cargo systems for floaters. The HGS Offshore business unit also offers VOC recovery systems for shuttle tankers and pumping systems to the offshore market and specializes in cargo and ballast pumping systems (both electric deepwell and conventional pump room systems), fire pump packages according to NFPA 20, general service pumps and other customized pump systems for special applications. Hamworthy LNG reliquefaction plants are delivered to a large number of LNG carriers. LNG regasification plants are contracted for FSRUs and SRVs in USA and Brazil and UAE. For Onshore, HGS specializes in engineering and turnkey supply of mini- and small scale LNG liquefaction plants, “no-flare” solutions and VOC recovery systems.

The company specializes in the development, design and service of inert gas and nitrogen generator systems for use onboard ships and offshore installations. The systems share several fundamental characteristics – a high level of efficiency, ease of installation, use and maintenance and worldwide service. More than 2,300 Moss inert gas and Nitrogen systems have been contracted so far. Fabrication and full running tests of offshore inert gas systems may be carried out at the company’s location in Moss, Norway.
